Sometimes it starts with serendipity. A pile of old letters—dog-eared, faded, and water-stained snippets from the past. Diaries, journals, stacks of pictures and postcards—some silly, some illegible—but all destined not to be forgotten. Every family has a history in some form or another that harbors centuries of family memories and hidden secrets about their ancestors, their families, friends, and neighbors across continents and spanning centuries.
The idea of translating historical documents was initially inspired by a request from the USA about a German family that immigrated there in the mid-19th century. What started as a simple query for translating old German letters became a yearlong quest of not only transcribing these old handwritings but turning the whole correspondence of beloved family members into a historical family saga booklet. The process and outcome were so rewarding and exciting for both us and the client that they ultimately inspired the creation of Serendipity Curation.

Serendipity Curation is a subsidiary of Landry & Associates International specialized in academic, medical, legal and scientific translations and editing. Backed by our certified translation office, we also provide accurate and legally recognized translations of birth, marriage, and death certificates, old church and civil registers, Sütterlin and Kurrent handwriting, immigration papers, and other historical documents essential for genealogy.
